Everyone has key pivotal moments in their lives that set them on a particular path for years. One of mine occurred when I was 17-years-old in my high school guidance counselor's office. I was reading a list of possible professional careers and intuitively resonated with "marriage and family therapist". That moment was the commencement of a focused college and graduate education.
After completing my clinical training in Minnesota, I lived and worked as a registered psychologist and clinical supervisor in Australia for two years. Sydney is a richly culturally diverse city filled with immigrants from all over the world, and I had the privilege of doing therapy with people from an incredible array of backgrounds and traditions.
For the past 15 years I have been a therapist in Oregon. My specialties include working with couple relationship concerns, separation and divorce decision-making, eating disorder recovery, and multicultural issues such as adoption, bi-racial identity, international relocation adjustment, and intercultural relationships. With informed consent, I coordinate care with your other local health professionals to provide comprehensive treatment.
